Elderly Dependence and Intergenerational Support in Vietnam: A Descriptive Perspective
Vietnam’s rapid population aging is increasing pressure on families as formal social protection remains limited. This study examines how parental needs, gender roles, and living arrangements shape financial and caregiving support from adult children. Results show daughters provide more hands-on care, sons contribute more financially, and pension coverage affects support in rural vs. urban households. The study underscores the central role of family-based care in an aging society.

Our club engaged in an analytical discussion of a global economics case study. We also participate in states and national competitions. Furthermore, I also tutor students in preparation for the AP Economics test.

As President, I led members in organizing community service projects in partnership with Rotary International. Our initiatives focused on youth empowerment, environmental awareness, and humanitarian outreach, fostering leadership and collaboration among students.
