MAVIN x World Vision

Providing Livelihoods, Helping Farmers in Thanh Hoa Sustainably Escape Poverty (2024-2029)

As an intern, I supported sustainable duck-farming households in Thanh Hoa Province (Thuong Xuan, Nhu Xuan, Quan Hoa) through the MAVIN Group × World Vision Vietnam partnership — a five-year initiative improving rural livelihoods and nutrition for vulnerable communities across Vietnam.

 My Role

  • Assisted 232 low-income households in building duck houses and applying sustainable farming practices.
  • Coordinated the distribution of 22,160 high-quality Mavin Cherry ducklings, feed, and veterinary medicine.
  • Supported training sessions on biosecurity, nutrition, and market access for local farmers.
  • Monitored household progress and compiled field data for World Vision’s impact reporting.

Future Directions

Expand to more provinces and increase production cycles to 3–4 flocks per year.

Establish local access points for affordable feed, veterinary medicine, and ducklings.

Develop branding and packaging to introduce products into modern retail channels.
